Hey there! I have tried to raise rabbits a couple years ago... There is definately a learning curve to raising rabbits...Lots of cleaning, managing breeding cycles & babies, not to mention getting used to butchering several animals for one family meal can put a damper on a beginner's enthusiasm. Chickens are without a doubt easier along with turkeys, ducks, even goats are simpler to me. I especially didn't like the "commercialized" feeling of animals in tiny cages. The meat was delicious, though, but I doubt if I will ever recommend rabbits to anybody.
